Export Translations

Reviewing and publishing new translations sometimes takes a bit of time. If you want to use a translation that’s either still waiting, or that’s reviewed but not published with a plugin update, you can do so.

Pick the plugin you’re using and the language you’d like to export.

Export approved but unreleased strings

At the very bottom of the page, you’ll find the “export” section. Before you click on the export link, you should make sure that in the select fields next to it, “all current” and “Machine Object Message Catalog (.mo)” are selected. This way, all currently approved strings, will be exported as a .mo file when you click on the export link.

Export waiting strings

Before you click on the export link at the bottom of the page, you should make sure that in the select fields next to it, “only matching the filter” and “Machine Object Message Catalog (.mo)” are selected. With this selection, all strings, regardless of their status, will be exported as a .mo file as soon as you click on the export link.

In the next and final step, you can take the downloaded file and upload it to your server using an FTP client.
